Participation at the "Bergen International Conference on forensic psychiatry: neurocognitive disorders".

In 22-26 of October, 2018 the director of Lithuanian Forensic Psychiatry Service under the Ministry of Health Vaiva Martinkienė participated at the "Bergen International Conference on forensic psychiatry: neurocognitive disorders".

In the Conference were discussed about psychiatric evaluation of neurological and developmental disorders, the problems of elderly patients treated for compulsory treatment, neurodegenerative disorders risk assessment and management aspects and other important issues.

Presentations were made by professional specialists in forensic psychiatry: Prof. A. Raine (JAV), Dr. C. Morrisen (UK), Dr. K. McLachlan (Canada), I. Freckleton (Australia) and others.

During the visit there were revealed the latest trends in psychiatric evaluation of neurodegenerative disorders, which will be transmitted to other experts of Lithuanian Forensic Psychiatry Service.

There were strengthened international relations with specialists from different countries and provided for the prospect of further professional co-operation.
